Glenn Mack
Chief Information Officer
Glenn Mack is a senior IT executive with 28 years of experience within the information technology sector, where he has excelled in implementing collaborative technology solutions and addressing requirements for mission-critical systems. Mack started his career with the N.C. Department of Public Safety in 2009 as chief information officer for the NC Division of Crime Control and Public Safety. As the current CIO for NCDPS, which consolidated in 2012, Mack leads efforts to plan and implement department-wide IT strategies, to include healthcare, pharmacy, law enforcement and adult correction.
Mack was born in Gainesville, Florida, and attended East Carolina University in Greenville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He has received multiple recognitions over the years for successful or enhanced technology initiatives, to include a Governor’s Award for Excellence for Efficiency and Innovation, as well as being named the 2021 NC Tech Public Sector CIO of the Year. He is a board member of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Information Network and a certified employment and grievance mediator. He has also served on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Hispanic and Latino Affairs. When not at work, Mack enjoys time with family, traveling, cooking with his son, experiencing the outdoors, and passionately rooting for the Miami Dolphins.
