Caterpillar Inc. has built a winning product with its Cat® Rock Drills and it wants to show you why. The company's newest video reveals the inner working of the drill series (the only owner serviceable rock drill in the industry) through 3D animation highlights.

The design of the drill has made servicing it even easier as it contains half the components of competitive models with fewer internal parts to wear. A seal kit is accompanied with the drill, complete with 26 seals and O-rings needed to reseal the entire rock drill. Only four, however, are needed to reseal the hammer.

In addition, the hammer’s four major housing are bolted together with high strength flanges that eliminate the need for long tie-rods.

The video reveals CAT’s commitment to providing durable, serviceable and productive equipment for the mining industry.
