Legos aren’t just for kids anymore.

The designers over at LEGO ® have created one of the most unique Technic sets ever, replicating Volvo’s L350F Wheel Loader. The remote-controlled toy set, which is a carbon copy of the real wheel loader, was designed by the company’s Technic division.

Jeppe Juul Jenson, Global Design Lead for LEGO Technic, explains how the company came up with the concept and how they worked with Sweden-based Volvo to replicate the loader.

Unlike normal Legos, the Technic line utilizes interconnected Legos, plastic rods and parts to create advanced machines with wheels. The line is characterized by the presence of special pieces, such as gears, axles, pins, beams and recently electric motors.

At 1,636 pieces, the LEGO Technic Volvo L350F Wheel Loader (42030) is the largest Technic set to hit the market. It also showcases the lengths LEGO ® will go to in order to perfect their latest mini marvels.
