Nothing but the Bass: StratMin Global Resources to purchas Bass Metals graphite mine
StratMin Global Resources has announced that the company has entered into a conditional sale agreement with Bass Metals for its Graphmada Mauritius mine.
The prospected sale is for up to A$15.25million through a combination of cash, shares in Bass and a net smelter royalty.
Rick Anthon, chairman of Bass Metals, believes the deal will represent Bass as a global player in the graphite sector.
“The transaction positions Bass as an immediate global play as Graphmada has existing long term customers in Europe, India and the US for high purity, large flake product, and we will continue to develop new end-user customers for premium applications,” he said.
“Not only will Bass be mining under continuous mining operations from the end of August, but the mine has immediate potential on its total 2015 output of graphite.”
