An international mentorship programme, connecting women in mining to mentors from all over the global industry, has officially been launched at the world’s biggest mining conference.

The first International Women in Resources Mentorship Programme (IWRMP), a response to the need for more industry mentoring, was launched by the International Women in Mining, Women in Mining Canada and Metisphere at the PDAC convention in Toronto this week.

Lasting for six months, the programme will see 42 women from Africa, North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia all at different stages of their careers.
