Alexander Abramov is a self-made billionaire who became an industrial tycoon as head of EvrazHolding. He quickly made a name for himself buying up hobbled steel companies and coal mines, eventually amassing the largest steel and iron empire in Russia. In 2013, Abramov purchased a 5.9 percent stake in Norilsk Nickel from Vladimir Potanin.
