Multinational mining company Rio Tinto rounds off our list of top mining companies at number two with revenue of $54.6 billion in 2013.

The company’s massive output for the year is contributed to $25 billion in iron ore, $12.4 billion in aluminium and $5.9 billion in copper. Rio’s coal sector in Australia and Mozambique accounted for $4.5 billion with diamond minerals adding up to $4.1 billion.
