SANDRA DU TOIT , Head of Mining and Metals Standard Bank

Sandra du Toit is the Head: Mining & Metals for Africa Corporate Finance at Standard Bank, Africa’s leading bank. Sandra started her career as an academic, lecturing on the subjects of company and tax law at the University of the Free State, before joining Johannesburg law firm Brink Cohen le Roux & Roodt. It was here that she became involved in the South African mining industry, working first on the labour side of the business, before moving on to the corporate and commercial end of practice, specialising in mergers and acquisitions. Sandra has been with Standard Bank for ten years, and focuses exclusively on corporate finance transactions in mining and metals in Africa. In this capacity, she has been involved in the sale and acquisition of numerous assets and has advised clients on a wide range of transactions, including joint ventures and capital raising.
