The process of underground drilling and blasting is one of the most visually stimulating aspects of mining. It’s also one of the most dangerous.

The Australian Centre for Geomechanics (ACG) has developed a training and safety guide for miners to properly conduct drilling and blasting operations underground.

The video displays the process of underground drilling and blasting from beginning to end. It also provides the safest techniques for drilling and blasting, including a wealth of safety tips. In addition, the video provides real-life underground drilling and blasting footage.

Based at The University of Western Australia in Perth, the Australian Centre for Geomechanics is a non-for-profit mining research center. The organization’s mission is to provide the mining industry with the necessary tools and knowledge for safe mining.
