Australia miner Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) raked in $10.69 billion in 2013 putting the company at number 10 on this list.
Operating primarily in the Pilbara region of Australia, FMG is one of the largest producers of iron ore in the world. The company shipped 99.1 million tons of the precious metal in 2013 with China accounting for more than 90 percent of the company’s sales.
