China tops our list of the Top 10 Gold Producing Countries. In addition to being the world’s largest producer of gold, China also represents one of the most significant markets for gold consumption in the world. The country’s appetite for the precious metal is unrivaled. Roughly 60 percent of the country’s gold production comes from five provinces: Shandong, Henan, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Fujian.
