A fleet of autonomous trucks will be on display next month at the Hillhead quarrying and recycling show 2016.

Volvo Group have been developing and testing state of the art automated driverless technology in cooperation with Saab. The trucks are fitted with sensors and GPS technology to read its surroundings, navigate through difficult environments and submit data to fully optimise its operational functionality.

The autonomous technology was showcased this week in Gothenburg, Sweden. The press, including the Guardian, were invited to a hands on demonstration.

The Hillhead quarrying and recycling show 2016 is the biggest quarrying, recycling and construction exhibition of its kind, giving companies the change to demonstrate the wide range of technologies that will change the future of the industry, live in the Hillhead quarry, UK.
